Become a co-owner of The Hub Castlemaine by joining our Co-operative.
Unlike other properties in town The Hub can’t be sold off. It will never go back into the speculative real estate market, it will be used for community good. We are doing it!
By joining the Co-op, you are choosing community over commercial greed. We are building an economy where local real estate serves social value and local families, not distant corporate shareholders.
In the future we would like to buy more properties. The more people who join, the more we can do.
Membership also entitles you to voting rights in the Co-op, to receive member updates on what’s happening, and the opportunity to be involved and have a say.
Membership Fees
This year membership fees were reduced to $30/year full and $15/year concession.
Membership fees pay the Co-operative’s operating costs. These are separate to The Hub which has its own budget.
The Co-op is run by volunteers and membership fees pay for the things that support them. Anything over, we will put away for the costs of exploring a second purchase. Events like the recent projections and open house are funded elsewhere, or supported by volunteer labour.
